Is a Candle?

And he said unto them, Is a candle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? and not to be set on a candlestick? (Mark:4:21)

For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad. (Mark:4:22)

If any man have ears to hear, let him hear. (Mark:4:23)

And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given. (Mark:4:24)

Take heed — to look at (literally or figuratively): — behold beware lie look (on to) perceive regard see sight take heed.

Mete — to measure (that is ascertain in size by a fixed standard).

For he that hath, to him shall be given: and he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he hath. (Mark:4:25)

Matthew

The author of the Gospel of Matthew chose to write a “Candle Story” in another chapter.

Luke

No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light. (Luke:8:16)

In the Gospel of Mark:

And he said unto them, Is a candle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? and not to be set on a candlestick? (Mark:4:21)

Verse twenty-one chapter four of the Gospel of Mark is part of the ongoing, “Parable of the Sower.”

In the phrase, “Is a candle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed,” the candle is the, “Holy Spirit” or the “Word” that the sower sowed.

For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad. (Luke:8:17)

In the Gospel of Mark:

For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad. (Mark:4:22)

The “Mystery of the kingdom of God” is that the, “Holy Spirit” was, “Hidden in Human Souls,” which is what was kept, “Secret,” but that should come abroad.

Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have. (Luke:8:18)

In the Gospel of Mark:

And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given. (Mark:4:24)

The “Holy Spirit” and the “Human Soul” are now, “As One.” There are now, “Two,” for lack of a better phrase, “Voices in Your Head” or “Spirits in Your Heart,” therefore, “Take heed what ye hear, either the, “Holy Spirit” or the, “Human Soul.”

“With what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you.”

In other words, what you take to “Heart” is what you will be given.

“And unto you that hear shall more be given.”

Whatever that is….
